NOT IN KANSAS ANYMORE
You know you are in Florida because :
There is water everywhere ...
There are more boats ...
The flora looks different ...
The fauna looks different ...
Your hair gets curly and even though it is January, you can go outside without a jacket ...
Enjoying the sunshine, family, walks and bike rides.

@ata_grandma - my in laws used to live in St. Pete.. my husband spent part of his childhood there ...we went by their old house on Thursday
My mother was the principal at Lakewood Elementary School for 20 some years. It's in So. St. Pete. My 2nd step-dad was a fireman there. We spent 6 months there while we were on furlough from Africa. That was the first half of 1971. If your husband went to Lakewood while my mother was there she probably remembers him. She has a fantastic memory.

I live in Florida. Yeah, it's nice right now, but come back in August. You think you know heat? You think you know bugs? You know nothing...

@Jal_Phoenix - I have lived in Florida and visited all time of the year..so I know..it is about visiting family too
@maryhurlbut - yes.... we both needed it.... it is good for my husbnad to spend time with his brother
