  • Wimps!

I have decided that people in this area of Pennsylvania are wimps when it comes to snow. We had barely one half an inch yesterday and there was a two hour school delay. I guess they have to "call it" early in the AM and perhaps it looked worse than it was. It was virtually gone by 10 o'clock. Also, people who have just spent hundreds in the grocery store over the weekend will suddenly run there again at the slightest threat of snow. Have they nothing in their pantries? Are they really afraid of starving in the hour it may take to clear the roads?  It is all a mystery to me.

  • I totally understand your feelings -- our road was plowed and sanded this morning for a DUSTING of snow!!! -- and this is Upstate NY!!!  And the grocery store issue -- that always has me baffled!!

  • It is interesting isn't it?

  • I think this weeks delay was due to how slippery it was last week-I drove dd to school ans was slipping all over the place-I think maybe they know there are student's driving too? We had two students die in a car accident a couple of winters ago-of course that should've been a decision the kids or their parents made-but as far as the grocery store-wacky!

  • they should all be in minnesota...lol

  • I agree....and now everything has been canceled before a flake has fallen!

  • We are surely having lots of snow here. It's been snowing all day, and is to snow all night. We picked up a few groceries to get us through the weekend, but with what we also have in our pantry and freezer, we are good for all of next week. It is good to plan ahead!

  • 14" of snow... then I start to think about staying in... The school district we live in is typically the last in the area to close the schools, often to the dismay of our kids!
