Memorial Day
Greg was invited to join a reenactment group for the Newtown Memorial Day parade...I had fun taking pictures... these are some of the lining up and around town...more tomorrow....

What is that shiny metal thing with wheels that he is standing next too? Is that a new form of transportation?
Does he ever get the question..."Aren't you hot in that outfit?" We get that one all the time when we are in our reenacting clothes.
How wonderful he was asked to participate and I love the photo you took of the flag and the rocking chairs on the porch!
The bike is going with us next week for the big WWII weekend.

That outfit looks like something I would not want to wear on a hot day!
Great photos-wasn't it a great day for a paprade? I tried going to ours with Teddy-he did great waiting-lvoed seeing all the people and making new friends. He even handled the sirens when the fire trucks got called out for a fire just before the parade started. The parade started with men dressed up from each war and then a marching band. He freaked at the flags twirling and the drums so we had to leave :(. Phillyburbs.com has a photo gallery of your parade and ours if you want to check it out. I love the photo next to the car!!! I would love to get together with you-things are a bit busy for the next 4 weeks(between summer camp at the preschool, a scrapbook retreat and vacation) but maybe when we get back at the end of June?

@broncomom - @suzsea - He was boiling in that uniform... it was a very warm day here.. but he had a leather pouch to hide a water bottle... we did all sorts of last minute stitching because the uniform was borrowed and did not fit..... they are doing an actual battle this weekend but we won't be around.....

Greg looks good as an old time soldier. The parade pictures on both of the blogs (including the one you did most recently) are really good ones, and I can almost make believe that I was there for the parade! Hope all is going well with you all.
